Do you tend to struggle with your consistency in hockey games?

“I’m 17 and I have a question about inconsistency… I play hockey and this season was just a perfect one but now I made it to my national team U18 and had just a few awful games and the worst part is that my team is counting on me as I play the first two lines and I should be the one to carry the team. How do I get back to the performance that I had all year long?”

When atheltes try to up their game and try too hard, often it doesn’t work… Why would trying too hard be a problem?
